1. Well swapping over the monitors did what I expected. Now the left one has a higher maximum resolution than the right (my monitors are the same make and model).

2. I'm not sure what you want me to do here. As mentioned I'm running Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro 13" (2012 to early 2013 model). How can I swap a graphics adapter that is internal and part of the main circuit board with my display link adapter connected by USB?
