Similar problem here with Dell D3100...
Have been on 15.04 but after an upgrade to 15.10 it doesn't even detect my external displays.

Tried to reinstall, seems all fine except that the drivers don't load at the end...

Code:
sudo ./displaylink-driver-1.0.138.run
