Can 2 monitors run stable with these?

We have been running 2 usb to hdmi adapters for about 6 months on 2 Acer 23" widescreens while also using the laptop screen as a 3rd monitor.

The experience has not been smooth. at all.

The screens flicker and sometimes both go out.

Sometimes one screen goes out and stays out and will not come back until a restart.

We have tried 2-3 different powered USB ports.

We have uninstalled logmein.

We have updated the displaylink software multiple times and are currently running 6.1

We are using hdmi cables from Costco.

We tried another heavier hdmi cable on one of them.

We have updated the nvidia drivers

We have disabled the nvidia device driver

We have tried 1 monitor on hdmi and 1 on USB. hdmi one loses signal. changed cable to heavier, still happens.

We are a bit frustrated!!!

Nvidia GeForce GT 540M - 8.17.12.7533

Intel - 8.15.10.2509

USB to HDMI - 6.1.32700.0

Would love for any legitimately helpful suggestions.
