Win7 Laptop is not displaying full screen?

I have just received and installed the USB to HDMI yesterday on a ACER 10" laptop with Win7.

When I display a movie using WinMedia in small screen it shows, But it blank and only Audio when I click on the full screen display.

When I try VLC, it shows again in smaller but nothing on full screen. And in smaller, the screen feezes unless I keep on moving the cursor!!!!

Any suggestions?
