Lenovo USB-2-DVI very slow all the time

Hello everybody,

I bought a Lenovo USB-DVI adapter to extend my desktop on a screen Hanns G HW223D because my graphical card cannot handle the native resolution of 1680x1050.

It works fine but it lags all the time, even when I don't play a video, as if my USB port was 1.1 and not 2.0.

Would you know how I can solve this problem?
