Linux Driver not working 14.04 Lenovo Laptop X1 Carbon

I'm on the latest 64 bit Unbuntu distribution 14.04.
I am using the 1.0.138 version of the displaylink driver.
My displaylink device is a lenovo thinkpad usb 3.0 dock.

When I run the extracted driver I see:

But in dmesg I see the stuff I pasted in my first post:
