Default Win 10, new Acer Laptop, Display lost my monitor

I had a Dell Inspiron with two external monitors that worked just dandy with Display Link connected to one of the externals. (The Display Link hardware drives one monitor and a cable from the HDMI port drives the other.) That Dell died a quick and painful death and I replaced with a shiny new Acer i7 beauty.

When I installed the Display Link software and plugged in the two monitors, initially, both monitors worked as before. Now, after moving things around and reconnecting, the Display Link monitor works, but is not listed as an active monitor when I try to identify monitors using the Graphics Properties menu, - that monitor is not listed at all. Yet, I can drag things to the monitor and use it. But the monitor is showing as if it is on the far left spot on my desk and it is actually on the far right. My desk setup is such that moving it to the far left is not an option.

Anyone got some ideas on troubleshooting this in Windows 10? I tried following the trouble shooting tips posted here, but they're not up-to-date with Win10... some of the run commands simply do not exist in Microsoft's latest.
