Problem with USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI just getting black

Having some wierd issues with my USB 3.0 adapter.

When im using as followed it works well
USB 3.0 Adapter -> HDMI/HDMI-cable -> HDMI-Port on Screen

When im using as followed it does not work well

USB 3.0 Adapter -> HDMI/DVI-cable -> DVI-Port on Screen

I can se the screens appear under the display settings. I'm getting all the information about the screen resolution. And also i get som kind of connection on the screen. I can clearly se the backbleed from my screens. If i had to guess it seems like a problem with the driver in some kind of way.

More specificly, im on Windows 10 with the 7.9 driver (Can't get the 7.7 driver to install). When i'm testing on Windows 8.1 with 7.7 driver is working like a charm. Just to be clear, its not really on the same computer im testing on. But the HDMI/HDMI-cable is working on both of my machines, so it seems unlikely to be related to hardware issue in that sense. Also tested with a few diffrent HDMI/DVI-cabels, same result.

Also the drivers from graphics card and firmware/vendor is at its latest versions.

Someone having a clue why? I was realy hooping this would work and i would be so happy if i get this to work.
