MacBook sleeps after closing lid in Big Sur

You don't need to install any app. Just check in Settings -> Battery -> Power Adapter ->*"Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off".

Then you can close the Lid and it works ok (at least for me - MacBook Pro M1, macOS 11.1, DisplayLink 1.2.
