This is why the DisplayLink software says, 'No monitor detected'. Based on your description of the behavior, the Hypertec device uses an internal DisplayPort MST hub in order to power the connected displays. DisplayPort MST hubs are not supported by macOS, which is why the displays connected to the device are in mirror mode and will not extend. In order to connect more than one external display to an M1 Mac, you will need to use a device that has DisplayLink technology. |
