We have approx. 400 Hp laptops and docking station of various models.
We are experiencing a wide spread issue with all docking station using diplaylink chipset. When a user move MS Teams or outlook from 1 monitor to another monitor, screen flickers and usb-c dock disconnects and re connects. We can hear usb disconnection and reconnection sound. At the same time wireless disconnects too (and of course VPN as well) which creating a nuisance. We have updated bios, drivers, windows etc. to all latest and greatest but no joy. When this happens we get 3 event logs stating 1. Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered. 2. A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated. This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices. 3. The device HP USB-C Universal Dock (location 0000.000d.0000.002.003.000.000.000.000) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem. Is this a known issue for Display link with Hp Laptops? We have hand full of Dell laptops with the same SOE and we are not experiencing any issues. |
