Clamshell mode no longer working - Sequoia15.2

I had this same issue. It only happens when there is no mains power supply to the dock e.g. if running the dock from the the usb outlet on the back of the monitor. Plugged in the mains power directly to the dock and clamshell works like normal. Unplug - everything goes to sleep when closing the lid.
