I had some time to kill today so I moved the Imation device over to my bedroom TV which is a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX401. I tested it with a HDMI and VGA/3.5mm stereo cables. It also has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 for both HDMI and VGA connection. I did the same tests I typed above, and I would say the only thing I noticed is when it is playing 1080p HD movie trailers from Apple's website over HDMI (FYI, both video and audio are streaming over that cable into the TV), the trailer scenes seem to slow down at random spots but the sound is still in sync with the video. I played the same trailers, but this time the Imation device is connected to the TV via VGA and 3.5mm stereo cables. The trailer scenes are a little bit smoother and faster than when they were played over HDMI, but there are still spots in the trailers that it will kind of slow down. Again the sound is still in sync with the video over the VGA/stereo cables.

10.6.6 works for me. Don't expect problems as it was a very minor update apart from the new flashy App Store.
If you have any issues with the DL drivers try to use the uninstaller and install again: depending on the permissions status on your Mac there can be problems in loading the drivers after an OS update.
