Different colours between PC and TV.

Don't waste your money on a new HDMI cable yet! You should be able to route the audio from the laptop to the USB audio device (HDMI adapter) under Control Panel->Audio. I think this will solve it and its nothing to do with the HDMI cable.

Seems to be like a bit of a problem in tv or something, so not all the video sign is being approved on or acquired by the TV.

I used to have a similar problem and it was a cable issue
