It's strange because it's heavily used by Lion as well. Just double check that you really have that folder!

Ops! I see you already tried the permissions bit, then I can only point to the missing LaunchAgents folder.

Thanks Carlo.

I did not have the LaunchAgents folders as you pointed out. I will create it and try to reinstall the driver 1.8 alpha.

I will repair permissions before I do the install! I'm not sure I did this the last time.

I remember spotting something about permissions in the log during the install. I think it was output from the "SecurityServer" regarding a failed attempt to do something.

I'm very greatful for your help!

The LaunchAgents folder seem to have solved the problem. I did as you said as well as repaired permissions once again after adding the LaunchAgents folder.

I thought this was a hopeless case but but no...! =)
