Hi,
Can you let me know what the error code is of the device that is showing the yellow exclamation mark in device manager? As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information" It's also worth trying the "System Compatibility Check" to see if anything is flagged up. Thanks, James |

I ran system compatibility check: It's flagging my usb controllers.. The link that the kb links to, for renesas drivers.. is.. correct? http://kb.displaylink.com/315 The drivers windows had were old, I updated to what dell recommended, they were old still. went to renesas and what version I have now is their latest. Working toward doing the: gather information step now. |

Okay I updated my drivers via the link in the KB. Re-ran the compatibility check and I've passed everything.
When I plugged the uv39 into my usb 3.0 port this time, it did make a positive usb sound, not a negative one. so maybe progress? But at this point I still have the driver in yellow. Here is the zip file created via the tool: Click for zip Let me know if I did it correctly. |

Hi,
Thanks for the info. Since posting have you rebooted the notebook? I ask as the last thing mentioned in the installer log is that a reboot is required. If that doesn't help, please run through these steps to help diagnose the issue: 1. Disconnect the adapter 2. Uninstall the DisplayLink software 3. Download and run the Cleaner tool from here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297 4. Install 7.4 M0 from here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php 5. Reconnect the adapter Thanks, James |
