Hey everyone!
To answer my own question -- ASUS has released the MB168B+ -- a USB 3 (1920x1080) display at 15.6". It is more functional in Windows however, as the brightness buttons have been reported not to work in Mac due to some proprietary EzLink software (ASUS) not being ported. Other than that, it's another sure win and I'm probably going to upgrade (Hahah! Christmas 2014) from the Lenovo LT LT1421 (1366x768) for travel! NB Make sure you look at the MB168B+, not the MB168B -- the plus means 1080, while vanilla is 1366. Here is the product page from ASUS: * https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/MB168BPlus/ Here are some reviews: * http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/595...iew/index.html * http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/mon...us-mb168b.aspx Eddie |

The Toshiba model is only 1366x768 -- same as the Lenovo I have.
The final factors for me deciding to go with Lenovo instead of the Toshiba was the price (was down at $160 briefly), power consumption (4.2W) and mass (2.3lb). The Toshiba is still up around $220, and weighs half a pound more. Its power consumption has yet to be published anywhere ![]() I missed out on the above Asus -- it was shipping at $180 over xmas, but is now up at $220. Next time! |
