Mouse lag only on display link monitors

I had these exact symptoms and ALL my lag and stuttering issues disappeared when I forced an update of my USB3 drivers.

I tried so many things, display link driver updates, dock firmware updates, but installing the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller from Intel was the only thing that made a difference. It was as if the dock was running at USB2.0 speeds even when it was connected to the USB3 port.

I am running two external monitors at 1600x1200 each and they are as smooth and stable as if I had them connected directly to the laptop.

I would suggest you look for your motherboard chipset manufacturers latest USB3 drivers.
