This is correct. Samsung programmed them all with the same serial number so only one will work at a time.
Changing the serial number can only be done on the production line by Samsung and not by an end user, so there is no way of fixing this I'm afraid. Wim |

I know there are others who are far smarter than I. Are there any known workarounds? Pardon my ignorance, but I'm wondering how virtual machines handle hardware/device management -- would there be a way that I can run the other monitor in a separate session within the same OS (Win 8 in my case) thus not being left with a 7" paperweight?
