Good afternoon Derek,
What you are experiencing comes from Microsoft Windows. It is being discussed at length on multiple Windows forums without any mention of DisplayLink. Here is just one of the links available with solution proposal. You will notice the answer is from a Microsoft employee. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...1-9b88ea4028a6 Microsoft does highlight this comes from a corrupted system.
