That response is not from DisplayLink and is factually wrong as I commented on the thread.
It has nothing to do with compatibility. Nothing is broken. DLM is removed on purpose because it is superfluous! If your issue persist on 8.0 M1, you can attach your logs so we can look at them and the mode (replace, extend...) you use. My forum signature states how.
