Computer767, Stepinsky,
You will see in my signature how to capture logs as soon as practical after you see the fault. kpower, I see loads of crashes because of access violation and some issues accessing the registry. Please use the steps described in the following FAQ to remove everything and then, install 8.0 M2 before reconnecting your MB168B+. Should the issue persist, please post new logs. Kind regards, Alban

Here are the log files. I have everything up to date including Bios and intel drivers. I am aware of the Skylake issue with the drivers and have updated o 8 M2. Also the portable monitor goes into sleep mode each time I plug t in to any ports on my laptop.
Thanks in advance, Computerg767 |

Hello,
the device wont even show in Device manager and wont show that error. Could it be due to the fact i have the dock on the same computer? At one point i got it to work but it turned off and stopped working again. Should I get a hold of Asus at this point? Only thing is it worked on my old laptop with a USB 2.0 port. thanks, Computerg767 |

I have fixed the issue for some reason when i plug it into my docking station with USB 3 it works fine. as soon as i plug it into my laptop USB 3 it does not. using a USB 2 extension has it working fine. This is really weird so I tried another USB 3 cable form my USB hardrive and it does not work. I am thinking its the power delivery. Oh well it's in working order now.
best regards, Computerg767 |
