Unable to use USB display as primary

My Asus Vivo has an Intel HD Graphics 8086-0A16 with an Intel driver 20.19.15.4474 dated 13 Jun 16.

I have tried to upload the logs as you requested. Please see zip file of those in my displaylink/debug folder. I hope you can make some sense of them.

Yes, I can move the display to the usb unit, but only if the HDMI is attached. If it is not attached, right clicking the desktop has no effect (I think it is in extended mode)

I would like to use the USB as a stand alone unit.
