Unable to use USB display as primary

I have re-run the advanced options in your tool and simulated the problem by unplugging the HDMI cable, waiting for 30 secs and then plugging it back in.

The USB monitor does not show open applications while the HDMI cable is unplugged.

I attach the debug folder.

I have also included in the folder a screen print while the HDMI cable is unplugged. Interestingly, it shows two screens, one complete and an extension, which is what shows on the usb display. So yes, there would appear to be a phantom primary display, even though the hdmi cable is unplugged.

I hope you can make sense of it this time.
