Hi Alban,

Thanks for following up so quickly.
I tested again with the steps you provided and I got it working!

I saw the 1|2 and forced the resolution to 1920x1080@60. Worked right away.
So it was probably me overlooking the obvious...

I'm satisfied with this option (duplicate), I only need HD for now.
When I get some 4K content on my laptop I'll try to extend and set the TV resolution to 4K.
I understand how it works now.
