Sadly, since we've raised the X crash upstream there was no activity: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98745 Please help by adding your comment to the bug. Thanks, Michal |

What about item 3 from first post? It's X Server issue or driver side issue? I could test items 1&2 with newer Xorg, but seems like latest DisplayLink driver require workarounds to get this combination working. Is there ETA for newer version that will work without xorg.conf with workaround options? |

After upgrade to Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 I can't get screen attached to dock working at all. I upgraded to Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, uninstalled DisplayLink 1.3.52 driver, reboot, installed DisplayLink 1.3.54 driver, reboot. After that I tried both xorg.conf from FAQ (Intel one and modesetting with disabled page flip) I also tried workaround xorg.conf from this thread - display attached to dock is either always stay black or render only cursor like here. Please help get DisplayLink driver working!

All issues mentioned above was resolved with DisplayLink Driver 4.1 update.
Only remaining issue right now is tearing on both screens (laptop's screen and external screen). |
