Yes, it is compatible with USB 2.0.

We don't sell DisplayLink DL-6000 series chips to the public, only to manufacturers who have the datasheet with details of what we support and what THEY want to support.

When they make the product, it's up to them to decide what is going to be working and how.
For instance, they will most likely add a USB hub in their product so the DisplayLink DL-6000 chip in docking station will probably never be directly connected to a computer.
