Hello Schampi,
You indeed see a mass storage device but no graphics adapter, no Ethernet adapter and no audio driver. HP would have designed their docking station using one of the USB port to embed a USB storage key. It could be the USB 3.0 subsystem which is dead, it could be the cables, it could be the port, it could be an issue with the power supply, a damaged pin... This requires the hardware to get a real root cause. At this stage, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer, HP, for hardware support. There's no DisplayLink chip detected connected to the computer, so Windows doesn't invoke DisplayLink driver. The problem occurs before the driver. Kind regards, and I wish you a prosperous year!
