I tried to upload the logs but I keep getting a 'security token missing' message - whatever file format I try... (26Mb zip file should be fine right) Dave |

Hi Deedub!
The size of the logs might be the issue. Can you upload them to cloud storage e.g. Google drive and sharing the link to download? regards Lukasz |

BTW,
I don't see in logs any appearance of DisplayLink USB device. Did you gathered logs with unplugged DisplayLink device? regards Lukasz |

What I noticed this time when it connects is the audio level moves around. It then connects and immediately disconnects. This time I connected to a different TV and have a message pop-up that says its connecting and then "Removed display Panasonic TV" in the chrome notification area. Looks like it's connecting and then rejecting the device? Last edited by deedub777; 06-13-2019 at 04:17 PM. |

Logs seems to confirm what you said. I see correct logs and even some initial frames, but this is immediately is followed with usb device remove event.
Also in system logs I see usb hub errors. Most likely usb hub is bricked. You can confirm this by doing following experiments. 1. Detach monitors from DisplayLink dock 2. Connect other usb device(e.g. pendrive, mouse) to the usb3 port of the dock. 3. Connect Ethernet cable to the displaylink dock 4. Connect device to Chromebook 5. After a while attach monitor do DisplayLink dock When you observe that issue does that devices(pendrive, mouse, ethernet) stop working as well? What I can suggest is to try other usb port in yours Chromebook. You can also try to connect DisplayLink device using usb2 cable. |
