Hello Franz,
Either will work. I am not sure Windows 10 v1903 has the inbox basic Ethernet driver working, so you might need to be on the WiFi to get it, unless you buy a Lenovo laptop. We're on the standard Lenovo Windows 10 factory image on all their laptops, so connect and it lights up. We are also inboxed in other selected platforms, but I don't have an exact list.
