Stefan,
Dell issued new firmware a long while ago to address the changes in USB Power Delivery (charging) in more recent macbook.
There is no active issue I know of.

Default Thank you!

Thanks everybody for the help, I appreciate it. I am going to get the Dell D6000 and will give the update after the set up.

@olord, feel free to share your experience as well. I can imagine 2 curved monitors are great to work with as well.

@jmc, amazing to hear that the limit Apple has given its users can be circumvented that easily.

@AlbanRampon, thank you for confirming and clarifying the situation.

Have a great week everyone!

If you're still looking for a dock, I manage over 1,500 MacBook installs, all with the Dell D6000 dock, all are working as intended (otherwise I'd be involved with a lot of service calls). They connect to anywhere from 1 to 3 4K monitors.

The only thing I don't like is the firmware update that was previously mentioned has to be run from a Windows PC. We never tried it through a VM or other methods of running Windows on the MacBooks as it's against corporate policy
