I'm using Big Sur Beta 11.3. New driver is not working with this OS. I have a MacBook Pro and an Acer monitor. All was fine before I installed the new 1.3 driver. Tried going back to 1.2 driver and still no display on my Acer.

I'm currently on macOS 11.2.3 (20D91) and DL driver 1.3 using the following monitors:
3 x Dell U2515H via DL drivers and StarTech USB 3.0 to DisplayPort External Video Card Adapter 2560x1600 USB32DPPRO hardware 1 x Dell U4919DW via provided by Dell bi-directional USB-C cable (it's the only allowed native external display up to 6K and is charging my MB Air M1 2020 at the same time even when turn off the monitor - there's settting in the monitor that allows it / sort of power pass-though). The above setup is still working fine and only very occasional wake up from sleep problems. Cheers, David ps. thanks for confirming Beta problms - will avoid updates until confirmed working by others. Last edited by davss; 03-22-2021 at 05:37 PM. |

I installed Big Sur 11.3 on MBpro M1 and now DL only allows 1920x1080 on an LG 4K screen
So I'd say no. Annoying as its been in Beta for ages, no warnings from DL...

I confirm the following configuration works including clamshell mode. I have three monitors - 2 x 24" 1080p via D6000, 1 x 32" 1440p via Anker USB C hub
MacBook Ar (M1, 2020) Big Sur 11.3 DisplayLink Manager 1.3.0 (build 56.111) Anker USB C Hub, PowerExpand 8-in-1 Dell D6000 Below is how I connect them together. MacBook Air =(via TB4 port)=> Anker with PD adapter, 1 x 1440p monitor, ethernet =(via USB C data port)=> D6000 with 2 x 1080p monitors I hope this helps. Just letting you know some people are reporting problems with 4K resolution on DL 1.3 and Apple macOS 1.3.X update:
https://www.displaylink.org/forum/sh...ad.php?p=91797 I'm holding off my 1.3.1 update until people confirm all is working 100% and all resolutions are supported properly. Cheers, David |

I just updated to 11.3.1 this morning. It is working fine with two 1080p and one 1440p (total 3 monitors) via Dell D6000 and Anker USB hub. All refresh rates are 75Hz. Clamshell mode is working correctly, too.

I can confirm, that DL 1.3 does NOT work with 4k Dell display on Big Sur 11.3.1 (checked on MBA M1), 1080 is the highest resolution available on the list

Mac Big Sur 11.3.1 (May 2021) update has broken the 4K resolution of my monitor (using DP interface) - I am not able to scale to anything more than 1920x1080 - using Plugable USB-C Triple dislplay 4K Docking Station
FYI: Prior to the update - using v11.3.0, it worked OK From reading these forums, flipped the connection to HDMI - which DOES work to 4K resolution... Ordered a DP to HDMI cable, and will report back if that works to 4K resolution. Last edited by Xord; 05-09-2021 at 07:59 PM. |
