I'm pretty sure if you run the S2340T in 'Green Mode' (available through the menus) you won't be provoked to load our software, but you will also lose out on wired ethernet functionality - if you have a desktop I'm sure you have good motherboard ethernet, and you won't be worried about this. Once we'ved worked out which end of the wire has the bug (and fixed it), then you can return to single wire operation, although at that point you may get worried by multiple ethernet connections... All I can advise for you in your minority situation is drop to a two wire solution, and occasionally retry and see if it's been fixed (or refer to these forums). I think the S2340T really shines in a multi-use scenario. It's still great as a single use touch/camera solution, but if you are permanently wired up, two data wires versus one is not a huge deal. Just to confer, we've been demonstrating the S2340T to many customers on Intel platforms, and the problems are generally very soluble. |
