I’ve been experiencing this exact issue. MacOS Monterey, Dell D3100 docking station. Monitors simply do not go to sleep like they do when plugged directly into the MacBook. Doesn’t go to sleep when the MacBook is left idle for the configured sleep time, nor with the pmset command OP mentioned. The only way I’ve found to get the monitors to sleep is to manually lock the machine (Control + cmd + Q) and then Escape.
Not an issue when plugged into a Windows machine. Are there any plans to look into this? |

Can also confirm same issue exists still on Ventura 13.2, latest displaylink driver on an Intel Mac too.

Adding to this thread - mine don't sleep either, although this bothers me less than them not waking up. I posted a thread here.
I see from the posts here that this issue is agnostic to types of monitors, docks, and OS versions. Everything was working as expected up until a few months ago, when I upgraded the DisplayLink software, but the version I was using prior was installed in 2023. Has anyone been able to contact support and get some kind of explanation of why this bug has not been fixed in checks date 3 years? |
