The Lenovo Thunderbolt docking station you are using does NOT have DisplayLink hardware inside it, and this is why the DisplayLink software does not detect the device. The Lenovo docking station you are using has what is known as a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport hub (aka as DP MST) inside of it. Briefly, DP MST hubs can take one video signal and split it into two separate signals. macOS does NOT support DP MST which is why both displays connected to your dock are showing mirror images of each other, and there is no workaround for this behavior. Your Mac is limited to one external display via Thunderbolt or USB-C. If you need to connect two or more external displays to your Mac, you will have to use a docking station with DisplayLink technology. DisplayLink provides a list of all products that use DisplayLink technology here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ylink-products |
