Screen going black for a few seconds

I find that if I'm using a particular monitor for something like a video chat, or I'm working on a large spreadsheet, it will turn black for a few seconds every now and space waves. Is anybody else experiencing this and is there a solution?

There are no loose connections, and it feels like it's power-related since it happens to be the monitor that I'm using more vigorously at that time.

I also have the same problem with MacBook M3 and DisplayLink dock, the screen goes black for a few seconds then lights up, especially when opening heavy applications or video calls
