Quick update on this topic: updating MacOS to 26.2 has partially solved the issue. Some icons are still disappearing in the Menu bar but at least all system info (incl. the clock!) are now visible on all displays, even when the focus window is in another display.

I have a MacBook Pro (14-inch, Nov 2023) [M3] running MacOS26.2 and displaylink 15 with 2 external screens and after updating to 26.2 from 15.7.3 the menu keeps disappearing. I have gone into screen and audio recording and manually given permission for DisplayLink to have access but the next time the computer is restarted or after a length of time it disappears again.

How is nobody talking about this, it's such a stupid issue. I have the MacBook setup with three additional monitors, and some menu icons just disappear with the DisplayLink software enabled. Once disabled the monitor connected through USB-C doesn't have this issue anymore.

Hello everyone (and happy CNY for those on this side of the planet)
For anyone subscribed and/or interested in this topic, I confirm that MacOS 26.3 update does not provide any substantial improvement compared to 26.2. |
