Default Asus Universal Docking Station // EEE PC

Hi there,
connecting the Asus Universal Docking Station (90-XB0Q00DS00050) with the Asus EEE PC 1215B (Win7 home 64bit) worked out fine, except that I won't get DisplayLink and thus my external Monitor running: No DisplayLink-Icon in the Tray bar, the DisplayLink device is NOT listed under "USB Display Adapters".

I checked the "HOWTO: Debugging issues on Windows with DisplayLink", tried differend USB-ports on the Asus EEE, tried another USB-Cable (Dockingstation - EEE) and also connected the Docking station to another Monitor. Still no Display-link in the Tray bar as well as still no USB Display Adapters listed within the device-manager.

According the the recommendations (Knowledge-Base: Troubleshooting) my Docking Station could be a faulty device, that should be replaced.

Before I do so I'd like to know if there might be an easier solution, as I found this Bug Report within "C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\Debug\DisplayLinkUI.log":

Translation of "Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.": "the system cannot find the file."

Any idea is this might be the problem's core and how to fix this?

Kind regards in advance for your support,
