Any way to exclude the laptop monitor?

We’re getting the error message “there is at least one disabled display in layout. Aborting” when we try to store the monitor layout.

The dock is connected to 3 external monitors plus the laptop screen. We would like to keep the laptop screen disconnected and the lid closed. Would our configuration even be a possibility or is there a workaround?

Does DisplayLink have a support contact? I'm not getting an response from technical_enquiries@displaylink.com.
