Has anyone else seen this behavior on macOS where DisplayLink Manager launches and presents the “Connect DisplayLink device” screen, even when the user is not actively using a DisplayLink dock or adapter?
We currently have DisplayLink configured as a login item, as the application is required for users who leverage DisplayLink hardware. However, we do not want the app (or this setup screen) to surface if the user is not actively using a DisplayLink device. Specifically: DisplayLink Manager launches at login Users are prompted to “Connect DisplayLink device” This appears even when no DisplayLink hardware is connected Has anyone found a way to: Suppress or disable this prompt when no DisplayLink device is present? Prevent the UI from surfacing while still allowing the background service to run? Control this behavior via configuration, preference, or MDM profile? Any insight or best practices would be appreciated. Thanks! |
