RESOLVED: Unable to display native resolution
I had an issue where I was unable to display my monitors native resolution. It was stuck (and grayed out) at 1280x1024 when I needed 1440x900. DisplayLink software was unable to detect that was a supported resolution.
Here's how I resolved it: This is on Windows 7 x64 btw. DL Driver as reported from device manager: 5.2.21746.0 1: Right Click on DisplayLink Manager icon from system tray 2: Left Click Advanced - This brought up the screen resolution window from windows 7 3: Selected the display link monitor -- this was forced to an incorrect resolution 4: Click Advanced settings off to the right - This brings up the video card properties -- in my case a ATI Radeon HD3200 mobility 5: Under the Adapter tab, I clicked the button on the bottom left labeled "List All Modes" 6: Here I changed the setting from 1280x1024 (which is also what Display Link was forced to) to 1440x900. 7: Click all the OK buttons to get back to the resolution screen Correct resolution was now available. |

This worked for me to!
In step 5 my box was greyed out, I went to monitors tab and unchecked (hide modes this monitor does not support) the native resolution became available. Thanks for posting your fix bchow! |
