MBP 8,2 HIS II DL-195 adapter not working
This adapter originally worked fine on OSX 10.7.5, then after updating to 10.8.0 it stopped working in July 2012.
I have since reformatted with a fresh 10.8.2 and tried the new 2.0 alpha driver and it looks like the exact same errors. 2/25/13 2:22:43.000 PM kernel[0]: USBF: 6660. 60 [0xffffff8027a87800] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It is now working!
The issue I believe is something to do with Thunderbolt and USB. According to this thread which were seeing the exact same types of messages in the log as I was seeing: https://discussions.apple.com/thread...art=0&tstart=0 It turns out that removing the Thunderbolt display and then plugging the HIS II into the USB port did the trick. I then plugged in the Thunderbolt Displayport and it also came on. So I am writing this viewing all 3 displays! FYI I always had the Thunderbolt Displayport plugged in never occurred to me to unplug it. |

So this issue has come back and what originally worked above no longer works.
Third monitor no longer comes on and I keep seeing the same messages in log. The only thing I can think of at this point is using a powered USB hub. Ideas? |

Are you using Beta 1 build we've recently released?
Please use it and capture fresh logs if the problem remains. Thanks, Michal |
