DisplayLink Network Adapter NCM, Dell S2340T
I upgraded my Dell XPS12 With Dell S2340T. Everything Works fine exept the network adapter. I get the following Device status:
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry. Last edited by LLine; 07-01-2013 at 12:15 PM. |

Hi,
Assuming you have a yellow exclamation mark against the driver in Device Manager please try these steps: Right click on device in device manager Select Driver Select Update Driver Select Browse my computer for driver software Select Browse Enter C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\ Check Include subfolders Select Next Thanks, James |

Lenovo USB3 dock - DisplayLink Network Adapter NCM error
Hello -
I have the same error as above and have not been able to fix it by reinstalling the driver. Everything else (such as display and audio) work fine - but my X1 carbon doesnt not recognize ethernet connection on the docking station. Here is the error I see: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry. Driver verion: 7.3.49014.0 I am running Windows x64 version 8.1. I had to get the RC version of displaylink drivers to work with 8.1. Is there an RC version of the network driver as well? thanks! |

Hi,
To clarify, the above steps didn't work for you? Can you please attach the debug logs - see this page for details: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Thanks, James |
