Windows 8 Driver problems
Hey team,
First, thank you very much for making a Windows 8 driver, and making it available. I wanted to report two issues with the driver (I just checked for updates, so it's the latest version). I'm running the driver as the 3rd monitor. That monitor is in portrait mode (rather than the more normal landscape mode). 1. The first problem is that almost always after returning from sleep the driver will be in landscape mode, sort of. The Windows 8 task-bar is still correctly at the bottom (in portrait mode remember), but the desktop image and any applications on that monitor are displayed in landscape mode. Obviously this makes using the monitor very tricky... 2. The driver also crashes very frequently on boot-up. As a software developer myself I'd be happy to send you any kind of logs or dumps if you need additional information. Please just let me know what you need. Sincerely, Robert |

Okay, where do I send them...
Thanks AnthonyB!! The article you linked to says to "... send the zip file to DisplayLink". Do you know where?
I noticed in your posts that you just fired the log information up on the forum... Robert Last edited by RobertMcCarter@Yahoo.com; 09-26-2012 at 01:16 AM. |

Threading issue?
I have noticed that the issue when resuming the computer from sleep does not occur as often. In my experience this would suggest it may be a timing issue, especially related to multiple threads.
