Screens not detected on MacBook

Hi all,

I can't get the screens attached to our DisplayLink (DK30A2DH) running with my wife's MacBook.

The DisplayLink seems to be correctly detected (see screen shot of system report).
Mouse and keyboard attached to the DisplayLink work fine.
I allowed screen recording and ticked the show mirroring options-box.

I also installed and re-installed the latest driver version for Catalina several times with the DisplayLink plugged in and unplugged.

On my own MacBook (same model and even a bit older) everything runs fine.

Any ideas what the problem could be? The screens are attached to the DisplayPort and after searching the DisplayPort and Analog a few times simply turn off again.
