DisplayLink Mirroring Instead of Extending
I've been using DisplayLink for a couple of years now to run a 65" Samsung LED display on the wall in my studio, and it's been working flawlessly. I just updated my OS to 10.13.6 and had to download the v4.3 beta 5 driver to make the connection. Having done so, I can't get it to stop mirroring and allow the Samsung to be recognized as an extended display in my System Preferences. I have another Dell display as the second screen on my desktop, the third—if it was working correctly—would be the wall-mounted Samsung. Preference shows the Dell, along with my main, but not the Samsung, though it's active, but mirroring.
Any suggestions to help straighten this out so I can get back to work would be appreciated. Thanks. Cayce 27" iMac Pro, 10.13.6 |

Ok, I found the solution, for all those experiencing the same problem. Follow the instructions at this link and you should be alright.

Just to help other with the same issue.
From the link 1 - 4 is pretty stright forward and should be follw strictly. on step 5 the exact step is to connect to displaylink from the top bar icon. then back to the icon you will have the "use as separate display" option hope it helps |
