Max resolution for Belkin USB 3.0 Tablet Stand

I just bought the Belkin Windows 8 Tablet Dual Video Docking Stand with USB 3.0 because the reported max resolution is 2560x1600 as listed here:

However; this resolution does not show up when attaching my 27" monitor; and the manual for the product:

http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/...437_RevA00.pdf

says the max resolution is 2048x1152

Which is wrong?
