Default Urgent: Ongoing DELL UD22 HDMI Issue on macOS 15.4 – No Resolution After 5 Months!

Dear DisplayLink Support,

I am writing to express serious concern regarding the unresolved issue with the DELL UD22 dock's HDMI output not functioning on macOS 15.4 and later. This issue has persisted for over five months, and we have yet to receive any meaningful update or resolution.

We understand that the root of this problem may require cooperation from both Dell (firmware update) and Apple (macOS patch). However, as end users and customers, it is not our responsibility to coordinate these efforts. That responsibility lies with DisplayLink, as the official technology provider and the only party positioned to engage both Dell and Apple directly.

It is extremely disappointing that after months of reported issues, there is still no clear statement of progress or commitment to a fix. Has DisplayLink made any formal attempts to escalate this issue with Dell or Apple? If so, what is the latest status of these discussions, and what concrete steps are being taken to resolve this?

We expect a serious and transparent response, not a generic acknowledgment. Please treat this matter with the urgency and responsibility it deserves, and provide us with an immediate and detailed update.

Sincerely

I am feeling gaslighted here. The combination is utterly unusable and every forum thread ends with "We can't find anything wrong, it must be on your end, contact support again if you have issues."

Any software that needs a "cleaner" tool is a red flag; I should have known better.

As you can check in another thread this was an macOS 15.x issue which Apple resolved in macOS 15.6. I'm closing this thread now. If there are other problems please open a new one.

Regards,
Szymon
