Default HDMI or DisplayPort input to USB-C Alt Mode or DisplayLink output?

Good evening,

I have a weird conundrum and am looking for a solution. I thought this might be the best place to ask.

I have:
An ultrabook with Thunderbolt and USB3 ports.
An external GPU case, with a nice video card, DisplayPort and HDMI connectors.

I'm looking to buy:
A portable screen. These mostly take power and video data through the USB connection. They either use USB-C Alt mode (Displayport over USB-C) or the DisplayLink technology.

Why I don't want to use the USB3 or Thunderbolt connector of the Ultrabook:
The external GPU is connected through a Thunderbolt cable. The main caveat with this kind of setup is the limited bandwidth available to the GPU. Sending an image from the GPU back through the cable to the internal monitor (and I assume to the monitors connected through the DisplayLink technology as well) requires bandwidth of this connection. This is a problem, because I'm gaming on this setup and with the reduced bandwidth I lose about 20% of the frames.

What I couldn't find and need your help with:
A converter, which converts HDMI or DisplayPort input into USB-C Alt Mode or DisplayLink output. A converter or adapter like this seems impossible to find through Google, so I thought I'd check here.

Good evening again,

I did some more testing and it looks like, I was mistaken. As long as the internal (or attached through DisplayLink) monitor isn't used to display the 3D content, the bandwidth problems are a myth. Hence I won't need an adapter anymore.

Thank you for your time
