Default Kensington Dock SD400v /Win 8

Hi Team,

im using Kensington Dock SD400v. Now i installed Windows8 on my Notebook. but unfortunately the Dock is not working any longer.

Is there an update for win8 available or is my dockingstation useless from now on?

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid that the sd400v is not supported on Windows 8, as the auto install is not compatible with our latest driver.

Would it be possible to have a firmware update to fix this or disable the auto-install? I'm not sure why couldn't one just install the drivers before plugging in the dock. How would the dock know if the drivers came from itself or not? Or does it only accept drivers that match exactly what it has built-in? That would be a pretty bad design-flaw, especially if there is no possibility of updating the internal software and firmware.
